About
Sarah Linzey
Hello there!
I have been a clinical and case management supervisor for the past 12 years and have qualified to level 4 (advanced). The models I tend to use are Inskipp and Proctors Functional model of Supervision (1993), with aspects of Hawkins/Shohet Process Model (2000), Kolb's (1984:2014) Learning Cycle which incorporates reflective practice and learning. My regulatory body is British Psychological Society (BPS) and I am also a member of British Association of Brain Injury and Complex Case Management (BABICM). My clients for Clinical Supervision over the past 12 years have come from disciplines such as medicine, emergency services, counsellors and therapists.
I originally trained as a nurse and in 2006 retrained in psychology and mental health. I have developed a particular interest in neurodiversity. I have worked for the NHS and in a government forensic secure unit. More recently, I worked in the voluntary sector in senior management, setting up services and as a safeguarding lead with a passion for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. This has also led me to access further training in Intercultural Clinical Supervision.
My passions are travelling and reading. I enjoy immersing myself in the local cultures of the places I go to as there is always so much to learn. Many years ago, I travelled around India and had the privilege of meeting not just the elephants, but also working with local communities on projects, which was enriching and stimulating. Beyond the vibrancy, noise and colour this experience helped me to see life from a global perspective and this paradigm has stayed with me, guided me and influenced me to this date.
